The target bar in Chinatown was popular and fully booked. I wandered around nearby to kill some time. I came across Hawaii's oldest bar.
The name of that bar is Smith’s Union Bar

It was opened in 1934 by a man named Joe Hawley to provide whiskey to sailors at Pearl Harbor.

I quenched my thirst with a Longboard. Previous customers were enjoying karaoke, so the atmosphere wasn't relaxed enough to drink peacefully, so I moved on to the next place. It was a bar like a Japanese snack bar.

If this is the oldest bar in Hawaii, I wondered where the oldest bar in America is.
The White Horse Tavern in Newport, Rhode Island is the oldest bar in America. It opened as a tavern in 1673. When I checked the location, it was a 9-minute walk from the hotel I stayed at when I visited Newport during my America golf trip last year. I wish I had known about it earlier.
